Ping khi douk khang - Grilled spare ribs

This is not a traditional recipe but a family recipe that my kids love. The marinade is flavored with whisky. That's why they call it "Mom's whisky ribs" 😅.
For 4 persons
1 kg of spare ribs
3 tablespoons of sugar
3 tablespoons of Maggi
3 tablespoons of dark sweet soy sauce
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of whisky
In a large bowl, dilute the sugar in two tablespoons of hot water and then add the remaining seasoning.
Add the ribs and make sure the sauce is evenly distributed over all the pieces.
Let marinate for at least one hour in the refrigerator.
Transfer to an oven dish, cover and bake at 180°C for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and grill for 10 minutes on each side.
